When I first arrived to Bologna and started wandering the streets, I was inspired. There are sounds, colors, textures everywhere. The cobbled piazzas rattle bicycles as they pass the coasting walker or wanderer. The vibrant walls refresh you like a cup of orange juice. Light bathes the casual readers sitting on curbs. Porticos add depth and patterns that always give you pause. You can walk with your eyes closed and chances are you'll bump into a church. Bologna serves me as a reminder to stop, look around and take in my surroundings more often.
